During the winter season the troop usually runs two weekend ski trips to Vermont; one during Martin Luther King Day weekend and the other on Presidents' Day weekend. Since most schools have the Monday off the trip is an extended four day activity. The van will take scouts and ski equipment to Vermont on Friday night. Scouts will then ski on Saturday and Sunday, and also have a half day of skiing on Monday before heading back home. The two main ski resorts Paoli 1 goes to are Okemo and Killington. Traditionally, the Troop would stay at the Trojan Horse , a hostel that can accommodate the whole Troop. The Troop has also been to White Face, New York, as well as Blue Mountain and Elk Mountain in Pennsylvania. Some of the more local ski trips are only one day trips. Due to the storms up in Vermont during 2011-12, in 2013, the troop decided to go to Greek Peak, New York for their January ski trip.

During these trip scouts may complete the snow sports merit badge .
